THE GREAT PRIORITY COOK-OFF, WEEK TEN PREVIEW

According to Julia Child, “the only real stumbling block is fear of failure. In cooking you’ve got to have a what-the-hell attitude.”

Julia Child brought French cooking to the American mass market, and was among the first TV chefs. We at Priority honour her memory with our own “what the hell” attitude, which has so far delivered a tremendous variety of culinary experiences.

Week Ten promises to be no different.  Four exciting matches are in store, featuring action from both the top and bottom of the table.

First up is William, fresh from his slightly controversial triumph in Week Nine.  Will he convince the diners that his dish is “clean”, or will he be condemned as the Lance Armstrong of the Priority kitchen? His opponent this time will be Kairavi, who will be up at dawn picking the freshest herbs and veggies from her garden, looking to delight us yet again with an Indian vegetarian speciality.

The next fixture pits Constance against Joseph.  It had to happen – our two creative geniuses going head-to-head not with Dreamweaver and Photoshop, but with garlic, oregano, basil leaves, tender chicken breast – who knows?  Given their performance so far, whatever they produce is sure to be greeted with acclaim!

Our third contest will see Joy take on Nolan. Joy continues to languish in the cellar – demotion beckons unless she manages to turn her season around!  We are confident she will survive, and Week Ten is going to signal her comeback.  C’mon, Joy, we’re all rooting for you!   She will be going up against Nolan, one of Priority’s favourite chefs.  Nolan favours local dishes with a twist, and we can’t wait to see what he puts on the table this time.

And that brings us to the Main Event, the headline match, the heavyweight contest!  Kunalan will be defending his 4-0 undefeated record against Francis, whose hard kitchen work has earned him a 2-3 record and a mid-table position in the standings.  It is Kunalan’s curries that have swept all before him, while Francis has stuck to his strategy of presenting less well-known Chinese dishes.  Will Kunalan stick to his winning formula?  Will Francis be the one to bring Kunalan’s remarkable run to an end?

There is everything to play for, food lovers!  Stay tuned for results, gossip and so much more!
