Priority Consultants Expands Operations in India

Second round of investment establishes a stronger presence across the region

Priority Consultants, an established regional integrated communications firm, confirmed that it has completed the second round of investments in strengthening its presence in India. This reinforces a very credible and respected practice across three major hubs in India.

With the investment, the company also appointed Manish Shandilya, Vice President and General Manager, South Asia to be based in Mumbai, the firm’s headquarters in India. Manish runs a team of experienced industry practitioners in Delhi, Bangalore/Chennai and Mumbai.

“We are very bullish about our business in India as a renewed vigour and interest from large international corporations from the US, Europe and UK makes this region, India, a very critical geography for them”, said Kunalan Chakravarthy, Chief Executive, Priority Consultants Group.

“Given the volatile global situation due to commercial standoffs and the US-China dynamic, we anticipate heightened interest in Southeast Asia and South Asia. The need for a partner with proven counsel and “grassroots” know-how will be even more in demand as the next five years play out.”

First Entry into India

The firm’s initial investments in India in 2007 was through a joint venture with an Indian advertising agency – Beehive Communications. The joint venture, Beehive Priority Consultants, was singularly focused on the travel and tourism sectors as well as professional services industry in India.

With a portfolio of Indian and international companies, the joint venture scored a number of successes including PR Week UK’s top independent PR agencies in India award in 2008 and 2009. Priority Consultants’ investment was divested in 2013, in the run-up to the acquisition of Beehive Communications, by a leading French multinational advertising company.

Since the divestiture, Priority Consultants has maintained a remote presence with experienced professionals based in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi supporting mainly international technology clients including Arbor Networks, ASG, and Enphase.

Headed by Manish Shandilya, the business is now focused on technology and corporate PR, digital communications and content development services. “Priority India will enable our clients to address a large and potential fast-growth market in an organised, consistent manner, in line with their corporate goals, global best practices and growth objectives,” explained Manish Shandilya.

“With a mandate to develop sustainable and scalable services and consulting practice, we are confident as a proven business leader, Manish will nurture the Priority brand in the unique way that customers, clients, people and other stakeholders have come to know and love”, said Kunalan Chakravarthy.

Priority Consultants track record includes technology businesses such as Mediatek, Mastek, Xaxis, InfoPrint, Tenable Networks, Extreme Networks, TIBCO and Regus Pakistan, Metro Ethernet Forum as well as Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR).
